Summer Breeze

It’s sunny outside, the clouds have cleared away and a cool breeze freshen the air.
It’s the best time to have a picnic with friends, but ôh despair… you don’t know what wines to bring.

Thou shalt not panic, we have the perfect set for you 😉

◆ PIERRE BLANCHE, Domaine Bellegarde

Thanks to its very distinctive style, PIERRE BLANCHE ranks as one of my favorite white wines ever. It gathers everything I like in a wine: a good minerality, a well-balanced acidity and a wonderful bouquet of exotic fruits such as mango, pineapple and passion fruit. This is made possible by the endemic grape varietal from the Jurançon Valley, near the Spanish boarder, called Manseng. The grape is famous for making beautiful dessert wines, but its dry counterpart is even more pleasing. PIERRE BLANCHE is exactly like that: generous, fruity, round and refreshing. Everybody loves it!

◆ AVANT LA TEMPETE, Domaine Mathieu Apffel

AVANT LA TEMPETE is made from a traditional grape from the French Alps called “Jacquère” that almost disappeared some 60 years ago. A shame since it is perfectly adapted to the harsh conditions of high mountain environment. Just like its terroir, it is a sharp and mineral wine that displays beautiful notes of jammy lemon, pear and white flowers. If you are looking for a dryer, more straightforward wine, AVANT LA TEMPETE is made for you.

Cheers !
