Laurent Combier

The Combier estate was created by Laurent Combier’s grandfather in Crozes Hermitage in 1936. Organic since the 1970s, Laurent Combier started to put the accent on quality in the 1990s while also re-introducing permaculture to the vineyard, namely with apricot trees. Historically a cooperative farmer, the long-awaited revolution finally happened, and the first family wines were bottled at the estate that same year. Ever since, Laurent has been focusing on the lifeforce of the plants by working the soil manually and according to the lunar calendar. In the cellar as well, everything is done to bring the best out of the grapes thanks to not only traditional oak barrels, but also modern concrete egg-shaped tanks. Therefore, his Syrah are voluptuous with a vibrant touch to it that will charm neophytes and connoisseurs alike.
