This dry orange wine is mainly made from Muscat of Alexandria (also known as Moscatel in Spain), a grape traditionally used for producing sweet wines like Rivesalt. Mamaruta winemaker, Marc Castan, selected this grape for two reasons: first, it has been cultivated in the region for over 2000 years and is well-suited to the hot Mediterranean climate, and second, for its beautiful fruit aromas and natural acidity. The result is stunning: the wine displays remarkable minerality, complemented by enticing notes of orange peel, apricot, and acacia. The finish is long, dry, and incredibly refreshing.
