Crafted by the legendary French winemaker Mathieu Coste, "Les Têtes de Chats" (The Cats' Heads) is a beautifully non-conformist organic red blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Gamay. Its playful name refers to the cat-shaped stones unique to this ancient, low-yielding vineyard parcel. Declassified to a Vin de France to escape strict regional regulations, this low-intervention masterpiece opens with a brilliant, spicy bouquet of wild berries, black tea, and earthy undertones. On the palate, it delivers a remarkably soft, silky, and savory "light yet powerful" structure. Perfectly balanced with mineral precision, it glides into a lingering, sophisticated finish that captures the pure essence of raw Loire terroir.
