Saint Régis

This cuvée is made of Viognier, a very distinctive grave from the Rhone Valley, that displays strong aromas of peach and apricot. It is a difficult task to tame the Viognier grape which can become very wild if not handled carefully. The solution found by Chateau de la Selve winemaker is to age Viognier in amphora, so as to smooth its texture, and in Barrel to give it a renewed subtlety. All these efforts paid beautifully in the form of a very well balanced and mineral Viognier. In mouth, Saint-Regis reveals an aromatic and mineral bouquet with notes of peach and white fruit. The mouth is round, fragrant, and full of freshness. It can be tasted during your aperitifs or to accompany shellfish, fish and goat cheese.
